Hiking the Jondachi Grand Canyon – Rafing on the Jondachi River – Set Up Camp
To begin our adventure we have a jungle walk through a canyon that extends the length of the Jondachi Ecological Corridor. We spend the morning here; exploring the beautiful canyon, it’s waterfalls, caves and natural pools. It’s a pleasantly refreshing way to end the hike down to the river. After our tasty, homemade lunch and a safety talk, we get into the rafts and start down the Jondachi River. This raft ride is the most beautiful and emblematic of the area. The river is a Technical Class III, full of thrilling rapids and incredible scenery. We spend the night in tents near the river.
