This 3 day adventure package brings you from the only one emerald sparkling lake in the mountains to have an adventure in a village which is considered “ The Door of the Amazon”. Travel along the Avenue of the Volcanoes and admire the Ecuadorian highlands. Head to Cotopaxi Volcano we will travel along the Avenue of the Volcanoes. Then, to Quilotoa Lagoon where you will have a chance to hike there and admire the beautiful landscape of the Andes. The following day you will visit the wonderful Baños village where you can enjoy the beauty of central Ecuador, filled with waterfalls, volcanoes, and a night at a romantic hotel. Then, you will be transferred back to Quito. This is a great chance to see the Andes on a 3-day trip away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Interpretation Center – Hike – Andes Landscape

Leave early in the morning and take “The volcanoes avenue” toward Latacunga. Cotopaxi is the highest active volcano in the world (5,897 msnm) located two hours from Quito. The Cotopaxi National Park allows us the opportunity to hike around the lake at foothills then we’ll visit the Interpretation´s Center where we’ll learn about the flora and the fauna of the park and the moors protected areas. After, we’ll climb the volcano by vehicle until 4,500 meters from the parking area we’ll walk up until 4,800 meters where is a refuge and from there continue up to the glaciers 200 meters more, of course all plans depend on weather and national park restrictions.
Day 1

Andes Lanscape – Hike – Local Natives – Lake

On the way to Quilotoa we will stop to visit and indigenous local house from the “Paramos”, we will observe their clothes and customs, but the most important thing is that we are going to be with them in a typical indigenous house made of straw. we will sharing with them a short moment talking, watching and learning from them, about their life and how they prepare the soil to sow. We will also visit the town of Tigua, famous for its naive paintings. We will continue up to the Quilotoa volcano, where you will be able to descend to the lake located inside the crater or just walk around the crater. Prepare yourself to enjoy an unforgettable experience by mule back riding. Enjoy of the most beautiful landscape in the highlands and traditional indigenous villages. Note: on Thursdays, Saquisilí Indigenous Market; optional.
Day 2

Waterfalls – Adventure Activities – Quito

After breakfast, we’ll take a walk to Agoyan Pailón del Diablo and Manto de la Novia waterfalls where it is possible to take a cable car down near the waterfall and Casa del Árbol to have a spectacular view of Baños. Lunch an return to Quito.
