Upper Amazon Basins | Share Experience in Indigenous Communities!

The Amazon is known as the “Lungs of the Planet”. It has been declared as one of the seventh natural wonders of the world, because of its beauty, natural and cultural treasures which guarantee the health of humanity and preserve the climate balance.

The Kichwa communities in the Alto Napo, located in the Biosphere Reserve of Sumaco, Napo Galeras, have organised themselves with the aim of promoting community tourism. They propose an alternative and self-managed program, based on the consensual participation of their members, adequate management of natural resources and renewed esteem of their culture and heritage. They want to guarantee their millennial philosophy of respect to and care for the Pachamama!
